Sam is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is approved to practice in Virginia and Pennsylvania. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from West Chester University. Sam has experience with providing clinical services to diverse populations across various settings including, private practice, community mental health, schools, and the legal system.

Sam’s therapeutic style is highly collaborative, grounded in the understanding that meaningful change happens when clients feel safe to be their authentic selves. She views her clients as the experts of their own experiences and prides herself on being a person-centered, trauma-informed clinician. Her approach to therapy is individualized and integrative. She primarily draws on interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, but also incorporates the use of interventions from several different modalities and frameworks, depending on the needs of her clients.

Sam’s diverse background and experience has equipped her to help clients navigate a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress management, major life transitions, self-esteem concerns, identity-related issues, career and work-related stress, relationship issues, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, and women’s issues.
